01This agreement
These terms are a contract between you and us. They apply when you use the CalmStamp website, create an account, use the free Case Scan, practise an interview or drill, or buy a pack. By creating an account or paying, you accept them. If you don’t accept them, please don’t use CalmStamp.
Three other documents form part of this agreement: our Payments and refunds policy, our Privacy notice and our Cookies and storage notice. If they conflict with these terms, these terms apply, except that the Privacy notice governs how we handle personal data.
You can read, save and print these terms at any time from this page. Before you pay, the checkout page shows the price, what the pack contains and a link to these terms, and you can go back and change your choice before you confirm.
Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the Electronic Transactions Act, 2008 (Act 772), the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) or any other law that can’t be excluded by agreement. Where a term would do that, it doesn’t apply to that extent.
02Who we are
CalmStamp is operated by CalmStamp, based in Accra, Ghana. In these terms, “CalmStamp”, “we” and “us” mean CalmStamp; “you” means the person who uses the service.
You can reach us at support@calmstamp.com, and on the web at calmstamp.vercel.app.
03What CalmStamp is, and what it is not
CalmStamp is a practice tool for United States visa interviews. It reads the documents you choose to upload, lets you confirm the facts of your case, simulates a consular interview with an AI officer that speaks with you, and gives you feedback and a readiness measure.
CalmStamp is independent. We are not part of, endorsed by or connected with the United States Government, the Department of State, the U.S. Embassy in Accra, any consulate, or any government of Ghana. Our officers are simulations. No one at CalmStamp can influence, speed up or predict a real visa decision.
CalmStamp is not legal advice. We are not a law firm, and we don’t act as your immigration lawyer, agent or representative. We don’t complete, file or submit visa forms, book appointments, or pay government fees for you. For advice on your own situation, especially a previous refusal, overstay, criminal record or misrepresentation, speak to a qualified immigration attorney.
Practice results are not predictions. A simulated “approved” or “refused”, a readiness score, or a Case Scan finding is a training signal. It isn’t a statement of your chances, and real officers decide on facts and judgement we can’t see. We don’t guarantee any visa outcome.
Tell the truth. CalmStamp exists to help you explain your true case clearly. It will never help you invent, exaggerate or hide facts. Under U.S. law, a willful misrepresentation to obtain a visa can make a person permanently ineligible (Immigration and Nationality Act §212(a)(6)(C)(i), 8 U.S.C. §1182(a)(6)(C)(i)). You alone are responsible for what you write on your DS-160 and say at the embassy.
04Your account
You must be at least 18 to open an account. If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must create the account or agree to these terms for you, supervise your use of it, and make any payment; by doing so they accept these terms on your behalf and their own.
An account is for one person: the applicant named on it. Credits, practice history and readiness belong to that applicant, and the applicant’s identity details (name, visa type, passport and DS-160 references) are fixed once their first full interview starts. Someone else practising needs their own account.
Give us accurate details and keep them up to date. Keep your password private and don’t let others use your account. You are responsible for what happens under it unless it was used without your permission and you tell us promptly at support@calmstamp.com.
Free sessions are for real, individual use. Everyone gets 1 free mock interview and 3 free drills per person and per email inbox, not per account; opening extra accounts, using disposable email addresses or automated sign-ups to get more is not allowed. Free sessions may be limited each day when demand is high.
05Packs, prices and payment
Beyond the free allowance, you practise with a pack of credits bought in advance. Current packs: Prep, GH₵149, with 4 full interviews and 20 drills; Full Prep, GH₵299, with 10 full interviews and 60 drills; Top-up, GH₵79, with 3 full interviews and 15 drills. Prices are in Ghana cedis and include VAT and all other taxes. There are no delivery charges, subscriptions or automatic renewals.
Payment is taken by Paystack, a licensed payment service provider, by mobile money or card. We never see or store your full card number or mobile money PIN. Paystack’s own terms apply to the payment itself.
Credits are added to your account as soon as Paystack confirms payment, normally within seconds. Each full interview (in any mode) or drill uses one credit when it starts: when you step up to the window and the officer connects. Opening a session and leaving before it starts uses nothing.
Credits can be used for 6 months (183 days) from the date of purchase and then expire. The oldest credits are used first. Credits have no cash value, can’t be transferred to another person or account, and can’t be exchanged except as the Payments and refunds policy allows.
We may change our prices or packs for future purchases. A change never affects a pack you have already bought.
06Your right to cancel, and refunds
You may cancel a pack within 7 days of buying it, without giving a reason and without penalty, as long as you haven’t started using it. We refund the full amount to the mobile money wallet or card you paid with. This is your right under section 49 of the Electronic Transactions Act, 2008 (Act 772).
When you start an interview or drill that uses a credit from a pack, you ask us to begin providing the service. From that moment the 7-day right to cancel no longer applies to that pack (Act 772, s.49(4)(d)), and the payment is final. The checkout page reminds you of this before you pay.
Separately from that right, we put things right when we get something wrong: if a session fails because of a fault on our side, if you are charged twice, or if you paid and didn’t receive your credits. The full rules and how to ask are in our Payments and refunds policy.
07Your documents, voice and answers
You keep all rights in what you give us: documents, facts, voice recordings, transcripts and anything else you upload or say (“your content”). You give us permission to store, copy, analyse and process your content only to run CalmStamp for you, keep it secure, meet our legal obligations, and improve the service as our Privacy notice describes. We don’t sell your content, and we don’t publish it.
Only upload documents you are entitled to share. Visa documents often contain other people’s details, such as a sponsor’s bank statement or a parent’s payslip. By uploading them you confirm that those people know you are using their documents to prepare for your interview and have agreed to it.
Interviews are spoken. When you start one, you agree that your voice is streamed to our AI provider to run the officer, and recorded so you can play it back and so we can grade your answers. Don’t include other people in the recording without their permission.
If you create a share link to a debrief, anyone who has the link can view that debrief until it expires (30 days) or you revoke it. Share it only with people you trust, such as a parent, sponsor or counsellor.
Uploaded documents are deleted automatically 30 days after upload, and voice recordings 30 days after the session. The facts you confirmed, transcripts and debriefs stay in your account until you ask us to delete it. Details are in the Privacy notice.
08AI-generated content
The officer, the questions, the grading, the stronger answers and the Case Scan are produced by software, including large language models. They are designed to be realistic and useful, but they can be wrong, incomplete or out of date, and two sessions may treat the same answer differently. Use them as practice, not as instructions.
Stronger answers are built only from facts you confirmed. Check every one against your own documents before you use it, and never say anything at the embassy that isn’t true for you.
Embassy rules, fees and procedures change. Always check the current requirements with the U.S. Embassy in Accra and your appointment letter; our guides point to them.
09Using CalmStamp fairly
You agree not to:
- use CalmStamp to prepare, rehearse or support a false or fraudulent visa application, or to coach anyone to lie;
- upload documents you aren’t entitled to use, or that are forged or altered;
- share, sell or rent your account, credits or debriefs, or use one account for more than one applicant;
- get around payment, credit limits, free-allowance rules or security, including by modifying requests, using several accounts or automating sign-ups;
- copy, scrape, record for redistribution, reverse engineer or extract the officer’s prompts, questions, models or other parts of the service, or use them to build a competing product;
- interfere with the service, test its vulnerabilities without our written permission, or introduce malicious code;
- abuse, threaten or harass anyone, or use the service in breach of any law.
If you find a security weakness, please tell us at legal@calmstamp.com before telling anyone else. We won’t take action against good-faith research that respects your own and others’ data.
10Our intellectual property
CalmStamp, its name and marks, its design, software, officer behaviour, question library, guides and written content belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for your own interview preparation while these terms apply. Nothing else is licensed to you.
11Availability and changes to the service
We work to keep CalmStamp available and accurate, but it depends on the internet, your device and third-party services, and it may sometimes be slow or unavailable. A live interview needs a stable connection and a working microphone; please run the mic check first.
We improve CalmStamp continuously and may change, add or remove features. If we make a change that materially reduces what a pack you have already bought gives you, you may ask for a refund of the unused part of that pack.
12Suspension, closing your account, and ending this agreement
You can stop using CalmStamp at any time, and ask us to close your account and delete your data by writing to privacy@calmstamp.com from the email address on the account.
We may suspend or close an account if we reasonably believe it breaches these terms, is being used fraudulently or to harm others, or if the law requires it. Unless the law or a security risk prevents it, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond first. If we close your account without fault on your part, we refund the unused credits of any pack bought in the previous 6 months.
When your account closes, unused credits end. Clauses that by their nature should continue (including those on your content, our liability and disputes) survive.
13Responsibility for loss
We provide the service with reasonable care and skill. We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care.
We are not responsible for any visa decision, or for costs that follow from one, such as application fees, travel, tuition deposits or lost opportunities: the decision belongs to the U.S. Government alone. Nor are we responsible for loss caused by events outside our reasonable control, by your breach of these terms, or by information you gave us that was untrue.
Apart from the cases in the next paragraph, our total liability to you for all claims connected with CalmStamp is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for our failure to use a secure payment system (Act 772, s.47(6)), or any other liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
14Complaints and disputes
If something goes wrong, please tell us first at support@calmstamp.com. We acknowledge complaints within 3 working days and aim to resolve them within 14 days.
If we can’t resolve a dispute between us, either of us may propose mediation under the Alternative Dispute Resolution Act, 2010 (Act 798), for example through the Ghana ADR Hub. Mediation is voluntary and doesn’t stop you going to court or to a regulator. For data protection concerns you may complain to the Data Protection Commission at any time.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana, and the courts of Ghana have jurisdiction. If you use CalmStamp from another country, you keep any consumer protection that the law of that country gives you and that can’t be excluded by agreement.
15Changes to these terms
We may update these terms to reflect changes in the law or in CalmStamp. We will show the date of the current version on this page and, for significant changes, tell you by email or in the app at least 14 days before they take effect. Changes don’t apply to a pack you already bought where they would reduce what it gives you. If you don’t accept a change, you may close your account before it takes effect and we will refund any pack still within its cancellation period.
16General
These terms, with the documents in clause 1.2, are the whole agreement between us about CalmStamp. If a court finds any part invalid, the rest stays in force. If we don’t enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.
We may transfer this agreement to a business that takes over CalmStamp, provided your rights are not reduced; we will tell you if that happens. You may not transfer your rights under it.
We will send notices to the email address on your account. These terms are written in English, which is the language of the contract.
